New Boss ft the Hydra

We are excited to say the new boss is officially out on the Google Play Store! We have tons of ideas for the future and this is a taste of it. Let's go over somethings to expect as well as what is in store.

Hydra Overview - v1.1.1

The Hydra is a fierce 3-headed beast that whips out tons of damage by slamming onto the player, slashing, and biting down multiple times. He is found at the end of the Mines and will drop loot upon defeat. We have the goal of making boss battles strategically strong, but not impossible to defeat as long as you know how to play against them. The Hydra does go into aggro mode when less than 50% hp with enhanced versions of his previous moves. The turn based rogue-like still plays a role in the boss battles as using the wait command becomes a big deal to learn.

iOS Update

We managed to secure an investment thanks to a dear friend of mines. This means iOS will be coming in the beginning of 2020. No strong ETA exactly of which month, but we are going to begin testing on iOS devices very soon. We will update you on the progress and what the vision of iOS release will be like.

PC Trial Version

We mentioned before that we want to mirror the game to port over to PC so everyone can try out the game. Due to the complexity of setting up a premium shop on PC without an easy way of managing hacks, we are deciding to do a trial version. This trial version will have no ads, no micro-transactions, no leader-board, and will be limited to 5,000 steps before you are forced to end the adventure. We don't want to go into detail with the decision since we want to focus on the primarily platforms of mobile before releasing a more fine tuned PC version. We plan for a different open-world experience for PC which would be impossible on mobile. With that said, we try to release 1 stable version that should be available sometime in the end of October.

Roadmap

We are planning to continue to pump out more enemies, weapons, armors, and items that will make the game more intuitive with rogue-like gameplay. We are still looking for more ways players can spend coins which means a bigger look at how the economy of the game will unfold as far as new features. After we feel the game has a good amount of content, we will push for more dungeon and bosses. We look forward to making OneBit a truly epic pixel rogue-like that brings retro back to the spotlight.
